Ditch the Diet Live the Lifestyle

My mantra is Ditch the Diet Live the Lifestyle. I believe that eating fresh foods & healthy fats, with a diet high in natural fiber, are three essential ingredients the body needs to keep the digestive system clean. Fresh foods are the fuel we need to feed our body & fiber is our daily oil change.

Your body is like a car, if you keep up steady maintenance with regular oil changes, you will keep chugging along with minimal problems for years to come. But, put off the maintenance & ignore the flashing engine light, eventually you’ll end up stranded on the side of the road with smoke billowing from your hood.

I was sick for 7 years with a growing list of symptoms, plagued by misdiagnosis after misdiagnosis & finally told to see a psychologist, for fear my symptoms were all in my head. The people that were suppose to help me, called me crazy instead.

At the end of 2010, while sharing my story & a long list of ailments with a nutritionist, she immediately told me to get tested for Celiac disease. I was diagnosed soon after, changing my life forever.

Now, I am a Holistic Nutrition Consultant, pursuing a Masters in Food Science, using my experience and continued education to help people look & feel better everyday.
